The Principality has the highest and the largest area for skiing in the Pyrenees. Its 6 stations cover 2,491 hectares and have 152 runs totalling 247 km, all in an area of only 468 sq. km. 823 snow cannons ensure that skiing is possible throughout the season, while there are 90 ski lifts and 470 professional instructors on the staff of all the stations.
The ski stations
Arinsal, in the North-West of the country with a maximum altitude of 2,560 m, has 28 km of Alpine ski runs which can accommodate 13,000 skiers per hour, who can practice mono-skiing, snowboarding and helicopter skiing. The station has 73 snow cannons, 13 ski lifts and 60 Alpine ski instructors.
Pal, South of Arinsal, which rises to 2,358 m, and where all types of skiing like mono-skiing, snowboarding are possible, including the use of snow shoes, on 32 km of Alpine ski runs. Pal has a natural park, 218 snow cannons and 12 ski lifts with a capacity of 13,500 skiers per hour and provides 80 Alpine ski instructors.
la Rabassa, at an
altitude of 2,050 m, is a cross-country skiing station with 15 km runs,
equipment sale and hire facilities, snow shoe circuits and an area for
children where they can toboggan, sledge and build igloos.
Ordino-Arcalís,
to the North of Arinsal has 24 km of Alpine runs up to 2,600 m, 12 snow
cannons and 12 ski lifts. It can accommodate 13,500 skiers per hour who
have the services of 40 Alpine skiing instructors.
Pas
de la Casa-Grau Roig has 87 km Alpine runs going up to
2,640 m. With 27 ski lifts, 276 snow cannons and 150 instructors, 32,815
skiers per hour can be accommodated. Monoskiing, snowboarding, sleighing
and skiing at night can be practised on the floodlit Font Negre run.

Soldeu-el Tarter, has 61 km Alpine ski slopes going up to 2,560 m. The station has 21 ski lifts, 244 snow cannons and 160 Alpine ski, snowboarding, telemark... instructors. It has a capacity of 21,000 skiers per hour.
